If you purchased a Prophesee USB EVK after October 7th, 2024, or if you hold a Metavision SDK PRO license, you are eligible to access SDK version 5.X. You can install it by following one of the following guides.

Install using pre-built packages or installers:

• SDK on Windows with installer

• SDK on Linux with packages

Compile from source (recommended if you need to customize algorithms or work on other platforms):

• SDK on Windows from sources

• SDK on Linux from sources

If you don’t have access to Metavision SDK, you can use OpenEB which is limited to the Open modules. Please refer to the appropriate guide based on your specific situation:

• OpenEB on Windows from sources

• OpenEB on Linux from sources

• OpenEB on Linux with packages

Note

Another option to access a free version of Metavision SDK is to use the SDK version 4.6, which remains available and free to use:

• If you are a Prophesee customer, retrieve it from the Knowledge Center Download Center

• Otherwise, sign-up for SDK 4.6

Operating System Support

The current version of Metavision SDK supports the following operating systems:

• Linux Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit

• Linux Ubuntu 24.04 64-bit

• Windows 10 64-bit

• Windows 11 64-bit

If you’re looking to install Metavision SDK packages on an older, unsupported version of Ubuntu, please refer to the table below to identify the compatible SDK version for your system.

If you wish to use a newer version of Ubuntu, another Linux OS, or a platform other than amd64 (for example, ARM-based platforms like Jetson), you’ll need to compile OpenEB or the SDK from source. For detailed instructions, refer to this FAQ topic.

Prophesee EVKs Support

Current version of Metavision SDK supports the following Prophesee EVKs:

• EVK3 - VGA/320/HD

• EVK4 - HD

If you are using an EVK that is not supported in the current version, please refer to the table below to identify the appropriate SDK version for your device:
