The primary method for deploying Metavision SDK is to utilize our pre-built Ubuntu packages and Windows installer, which encompass our entire software suite:

• SDK on Windows

• SDK on Linux

If you purchased Metavision SDK Pro (our premium package giving access to the source code of all the modules allowing you to customize the algorithms and compile on other platforms - contact us for a quote), please follow the installation steps for the appropriate operating system below:

• SDK Pro on Windows

• SDK Pro on Linux

If you want to work from the source code of our Open modules, you must clone and compile our open source project OpenEB:

• OpenEB on Windows

• OpenEB on Linux

Each section above contains the installation of the Prophesee camera plugin. You can check our specific Camera Plugins Installation page for more information on the plugins and how to install third-party vendor plugins.

Operating System Support

The current version of Metavision SDK supports the following operating systems:

• Linux Ubuntu 20.04 64-bit

• Linux Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit

• Windows 10 64-bit

If you want to install Metavision SDK packages on an older version of Ubuntu that we no longer support, refer to the table below to find which previous version of the SDK supports it.

If you want to use a more recent version of Ubuntu, another Linux OS, or work on a platform other than amd64 (e.g., ARM platforms like Jetson or Raspberry Pi), you should compile OpenEB. Check this FAQ topic for more details.

For Windows, only version 10 is supported at the moment. However, if you are just looking to explore our technology and only have Windows 11, you can give it a try; it should work mostly fine.

Prophesee EVKs Support

Current version of Metavision SDK supports the following Prophesee EVKs:

• EVK2 - HD

• EVK3 - VGA/320/HD

• EVK4 - HD

If you are using an EVK that is not supported in the current version, please refer to the following table to find what version of the SDK you should use:
